Method and knitting machine for producing knitted goods with stripe patterns

The method involves providing a knitting tool e.g. latch needle (2), at knitting points in a thread-receiving-position. A selected thread (15) is delivered to the knitting tool that is provided at the knitting points, using a thread replacement device (12). The thread replacement device is attached to the knitting points. The thread replacement device is utilized for selective supply of a selected thread to the knitting tool that is attached at the knitting points in the receiving position. The thread replacement device is provided with thread fingers that are arranged one behind another. An independent claim is also included for a knitting machine for manufacturing knitting goods.
