PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling the desalting chamber of an electric regeneration-type pure water making apparatus with the ion exchange resin, requiring no highly skilled technique, not damaging the performance of the ion exchange resin, not having the risk of damaging an ion exchange resin membrane constituting the wall surface of the desalting chamber, capable of uniformly filling respective chambers, and capable of improving the removal efficiency of weak electrolyte components further. SOLUTION: The method is for filling the desalting chambers (81) of the electric regeneration-type pure water making apparatus with a cation exchange resin and an anion exchange resin, and the desalting chamber is filled with the molding of the cation exchange resin and the anion exchange resin molded by using a water-soluble polymer as a binder. At the time, to the entire filling area of the desalting chamber, the ratio of the cation exchange resin molding is 0.25-0.35, and the ratio of the molding of the anion exchange resin is 0.65-0.75.
