PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood viscosity estimation method for continuously measuring blood viscosity, a blood viscosity ratio estimation method for measuring a blood viscosity ratio, a blood viscosity monitoring device, and a blood viscosity ratio monitoring device. SOLUTION: The blood viscosity estimation method includes: a process of measuring the entrance pressure and exit pressure of an artificial lung; a process of measuring the flow rate of blood flowing through the artificial lung; and a process of calculating the blood viscosity from the entrance pressure, the exit pressure and the flow rate of the blood. In addition to the respective processes, the blood viscosity ratio estimation method includes: a process of measuring the hematocrit value of the blood and a blood temperature; a process of calculating normal blood viscosity from the hematocrit value and the blood temperature; and a process of calculating the viscosity ratio of the blood viscosity and the normal blood viscosity.
