PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient document management system allowing sufficient notification to a user needing a notification while improving performance. SOLUTION: When a change occurs in a document held in a sharing part of a server 2, a determination part of the server 2 determines notification priority and notification frequency of each personal computer 1A-1D, and a notification part of the server 2 notifies the personal computer 1A-1D about contents of the change of the document based on the notification priority and the notification frequency.
