Disclosed is a shape-memory alloy actuator comprised of a shape-memory alloy wire portion which is contracted by being electrically heated and is extended by being cooled to alter the length thereof, a non-deformation portion which is formed on the other end of the shape-memory alloy wire portion and which does not alter the length thereof, a wire portion which is composed of the shape-memory alloy wire portion and the non-deformation portion and which is inserted into a tube member, a movable element which can move in the direction in which the length of the shape-memory alloy wire portion is altered, an elastic member which applies an external force in the direction in which the shape-memory alloy wire portion is extended, and a securing portion by which an end of the tube member is secured to an end of the shape-memory alloy wire portion, characterized in that an end of the non-deformation portion which constitutes the wire portion is connected to the movable element, and the tube member contains the shape-memory alloy wire portion and at least a part of the non-deformation portion. |
