PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal apparatus that can save water and can prevent the plugging of its water distribution pipe, and also can prevent the plugging of its communicating part. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal apparatus 1 including a controller 22 composed of a first controlling means 22a and a second controlling means 22b, which first controlling means 22a controls a rotary disc 10, i.e., a crushing means so as to keep its rotation rate lower than the second controlling means 22b does, with the second controlling means 22b carrying out the controlling after the controlling by the first controlling means 22a is carried out, is characterized by including a regulating means for regulating garbage to be crushed so as not to crush uncrushed hard garbage during the crushing stage controlled by the first controlling means 22a.
