PURPOSE: A transfer shaft controlling method for optimizing processing performance according to the weight of materials is provided to suppress noise and vibration by obtaining a target load-to-motor inertia ratio by controlling motor inertia. CONSTITUTION: A transfer shaft controlling method for optimizing processing performance is as follows. A look-up table is saved in a NC(Numerical Controller). The target load-to-motor inertia ratio according to the material weight is set on the look-up table. When a conveying axis is transferred, motor acceleration and torque command data are detected.
