<p>A method for inheriting the attribute of the Forwarding Adjacency (FA) in a multilayer network is provided. The multilayer network uses the upper layer signaling trigger model to establish the FA. The method includes: the path computing element returns the first attribute information of each link on the FA Label Switching Path (LSP) contained in the computed path, by the response message of the route query, to the head node of the upper layer which initiates the query, wherein the first attribute is a part of the FA attributes which needs to be constructed according to the corresponding attribute of each link on the FA LSP; the head node of the upper layer initiates connection establishing according to the path; according to the first attribute information of each link on the FA LSP carried in the path message sent from the upstream node, the head node on the FA LSP constructs the first attribute of the FA, stores it, and sends the first attribute information of the FA to the tail node on the FA LSP by the path message; c) the tail node on the FA LSP obtains the first attribute information of the FA from the path message and stores it.
