PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a premixing system utilizing a pair of combustion fuel and air mixing panels separated in a combustion fuel and air mixing area. SOLUTION: Methods and systems are provided for premixing combustion fuel and air within gas turbines. In one embodiment, a combustor (30) includes the upstream mixing panel (50) configured to direct compressed air and combustion fuel through a premixing zone (54).
