The tank i.e. diesel tank (1), has an extraction pipeline (12) fixed to a floating body (10) for extracting fuel. The floating body has mass-density that is higher than mass-density of the fuel and lesser than that of a medium i.e. water, where the medium is separated from the fuel. A sensor is designed as an electrical switch (13), and detects level of the medium to be separated from the fuel in the tank. The floating body is guided in the tank by a guiding element (11) and arranged within a conveying chamber (6) that is provided in the tank.
