IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE DATA STORAGE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute a job by canceling the lack in the capacity of an image memory and continuously obtaining image data even under the network environment where a plurality of image processing apparatuses are not connected.

SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 2 transmitting and receiving electronic mail to/from a mail server 7 connected via a network 4 is configured to sequentially obtain image data for executing a registered job and to store the image data in an image memory. When a storage enabled region P in the image memory 20 is deficient when storing the obtained image data in the image memory 20, image data stored in the image memory 20 are read and attached to electronic mail, the transmission address of its own is set and the electronic mail is transmitted to the mail server 7. Thus, the storable region P of the image memory 20 is expanded to store the obtained image data.
