<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt buckle device having good installation feeling and restraining performance while keeping a self-supporting property. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt buckle device 100 includes a buckle 200 engaged with a tongue provided on a seat belt, and a flexible webbing 140 coupling the buckle to a vehicle body. Furthermore, the seat buckle device 100 includes a cover 160 guiding the webbing inserted therein from the vehicle body to the buckle, having a flange 180 inserted in the buckle and projecting outward at a tip end, and having stiffness lower than that of the buckle. The buckle 200 has a pivot portion 220 interfering with the flange to prevent the slipping-off from the cover and projecting inward, at a tip end. The webbing 140 is coupled to the buckle 200 at a position where the buckle does not overlap the cover 160, and the pivot portion 140 elastically deforms the cover 160 to turn the buckle 200 in a vehicle body lateral direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
