<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device enabling a beginner to easily and smoothly configure settings variously without impairing excellent operability for a skilled user. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup device 2 includes: an image pickup section 28 having a first shooting mode that allows predetermined shooting conditions to be set, and a second shooting mode provided corresponding to the first shooting mode and allowing the predetermined shooting conditions to be set independently from the first shooting mode, to image a subject light.
