<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint member of a handrail, which can be used in order to build the bent portion of the handrail in a vertical direction with excellent workability in a working site, and which secures the continuity of the handrail. <P>SOLUTION: The joint member includes a first connection end 11 which is connected to the handrail on one side; a second connection end 12 which is connected to the handrail on the other side; and a bridge 13 which extends between the first and second connection ends, and is integrated with the first and second connection ends. The bridge 13 includes an upper surface 14 and a lower surface 15, and has a plate-like configuration as a whole so that bending deformation can be achieved only in the direction of the upper surface 14 and the lower surface 15. The bridge 13 is preliminarily formed so as to be curved in the direction of the upper surface 14 or the lower surface 15. Ribs 16a, 16b are integrally formed on the bridge 13. On these ribs, supporting surfaces Sb are formed which abut on the inner surface of a head board so as to support the shape of the head board, and locking parts Ea are formed which lock the edge of the head board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
