摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding apparatus and a method for detecting a tooth jump of the molding apparatus capable of detecting tooth jumps of driven pulleys by comparably easy means in the molding apparatus where a movable part of the molding apparatus is moved by the rotation of a plurality of driven shafts to which drive forces are transferred from one electric motor through a timing belt. SOLUTION: In the molding apparatus 11 whose movable part 28 is moved linearly by the rotation of a plurality of driven shafts 21, 22, and drive forces are transmitted to the driven shafts 21, 22 from a drive shaft 18 of one electric motor 17 through a timing belt 23, there are provided: a first sensor A for detecting the rotation state of a first driven shaft 21to which a timing belt 23 is succeedingly sent from the drive shaft 18; a second sensor B which is arranged at least at either the driven shaft 22 other than the first driven shaft 21 and the drive shaft 18, and detects the other rotation state; and a control device 38 to which signals of the first sensor A and the secure sensor B are inputted.
