PURPOSE: Apparatus and method for monitoring a rotary machine with different pulse code modulation in ubiquitous sensor network are provided to prevent the overload of the wireless data transfer. CONSTITUTION: A sensor unit(10) is connected to one side of an industrial rotary machine and senses vibration. A DPCM type sensor node unit(20) changes an analog signal of the sensor unit into the digital signal. The DPCM type sensor node unit transmits vibration data to a sink node unit(30). The sink node unit transmits vibration data with the remote server unit(40).
