The swab for detection and sterile storage of biological samples containing DNA material, comprises a reception area (5) fixed to a carrier for detecting the sample, where the carrier is insertable into a closable container (1) after detecting the sample. The carrier is formed as foam material cylinder (4), whose first end is inserted in a plug (2) that is gas-tightly placeable on the one-side opened tubular container and second end is provided on front side with the reception area fixed to the foam material cylinder using an adhesive film for receiving the sample. The receiving area is covered with a protective film in the unused state of the swab. The plug is cylindrically equipped with a grip end and a holding end (3), where the grip end is sealably placeable on the open end of the container. The holding end is hollow-cylindrically formed, so that the carrier is insertable in the holding end under clamping- or adhesive effect. The protective film is a siliconized paper cover with touch strips. The plug is made of plastic. The container has a transparent tubular form. The front side of the carrier provided with the adhesive film runs right-angle to the axis of the carrier and is flatly formed. The front side of the carrier is formed with two areas as reception areas arranged at an angle in a roof-like manner. |
