A SAW device (1) has a substrate (3) that makes elastic waves propagate; IDT electrodes (15) that are placed on a first main face (3a) of the substrate (3); and electrode pads (13) that are connected electrically to the IDT electrodes (15), and installed on the first main face (3a). The SAW device (1) also has a cylinder-shaped terminal (cylinder section (7z)) that is installed on the electrode pad (13) in a standing-state; a third conductive layer (39) that elongates from the side face of the cylinder section (7z); and a cover (5) that forms a midair vibration space (S) above the IDT electrode (15), as well as cover the side face of the cylinder section (7z), and the third conductive layer (39).
