A method and apparatus for atmospheric pressure desorption ionization are disclosed. Said method comprises successively desorbing and ionizing a mixture to be detected on a solid by gradually elevating the temperature, and successively repeatedly collecting the data during the period of gradual desorption ionization. The components with different thermal desorption ability are desorbed successively from the mixture to be detected on the solid by gradually elevating the temperature of at least a part of samples, so that a means for pre-separation of mixture sample is provided. Meanwhile, a detection efficiency of the samples with lower boiling point is increased by repeatedly collecting the mass spectrometry data of the samples to be detected with different boiling point during the period of gradual desorption ionization.
