PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a target road and a generated phenomenon at proper positions by setting a reference point of the received target road at an appropriate position. SOLUTION: This receiver is a receiver which receives position reference information showing a position of a target road including the reference point and identifies a position of a target road on a digital map based on the reference point. When the reference point included in the position reference information corresponds to a plurality of points on the digital map, at least two corresponding points on the most upstream and downstream sides of a plurality of applicable points located on the digital map are used as a reference point in accordance with a predetermined direction of the target road to identify the position of the target road.
