<p>A projector is provided with a display panel whereupon an image is displayed by scanning, based on an inputted image signal; a projection lens (13) which projects an image displayed on the display panel to a projection surface; a distance measuring means having a light applying lens (11) and a plurality of light sources (14a-14c) for respectively forming light spots to be a plurality of distance measuring points; and a tilt angle measuring means for calculating a tilt angle of an optical axis of the projection lens (13) with respect to the projection surface, based on a difference, which is between the light applying lens (11) and the distance measuring points and measured by the distance measuring means. The light sources (14a-14c) are arranged in a row along a direction intersecting at 45° with the scanning direction of an image (16) to be projected by the projection lens (13) when viewed from the outgoing surface side of the projection lens (13).</p> |
