摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the creep run capability of an electric vehicle when the malfunction of a break sensor occurs. <P>SOLUTION: When an accelerator operation rate reduces to 0% in a low-speed range, a target creep torque is set, and a motor generator is controlled to achieve the target creep torque. The target creep torque is decreased depending on an extent of stepping on a brake pedal to suppress heat generation from the motor generator, etc., that happens when braking a vehicle. In such an electric vehicle that changes the target creep torque depending on a brake operation rate, when the malfunction of a brake sensor that detects a brake operation rate occurs (step S11), a preset regular creep torque is adopted as the target creep torque, irrespective of the brake operation rate (step S15).
