The method involves determining a channel coding and modulation schema for each copy of data set to be transmitted. Bandwidth required for the transmission of the copy based on the schema is determined according to predetermined bandwidth. A source coding process to be applied to the data of the copy for being transmitted in the bandwidth is determined. Each copy is transmitted based on the source coding process and modulation schema. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising program code instructions for implementing a data set transmitting method (2) a computer readable storage unit for storing a computer program to implement the data set transmitting method (3) a device for parameterizing transmission of the data set on a transmission channel between a transmitter and a receiver of a wireless communication network.
