<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switched reluctance motor controller which is able match the current value of current flowing in the U-phase, V-phase or W-phase electrical winding and a target current value, or make the current value approach the target current value, even when a rotor rotates in an opposite direction of a previously decided designated direction. <P>SOLUTION: When the rotor 203 is determined as rotating in the designated direction E, or when it is determined as rotating at a first rotating speed or below which is previously decided in the opposite direction R of the designated direction E, a switch controller 20 operates in a soft chopping mode; and when the rotor 203 is determined as rotating at the first rotation speed or higher which is previously decided in the opposite direction R of the designated direction E, the control apparatus operates in a hard chopping mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
