PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for storing images at small frame intervals at predetermined timing. SOLUTION: This imaging device 1 includes: a designation means 18b to issue a recording timing designation signal; an imaging element 22 for acquiring frame images at a predetermined interval; a storage processing means 11 to store, in a recording medium 30, a plurality of frame images acquired in a predetermined time including a generation time of the recording timing designation signal; and a control means 11 to control the imaging element 22 and at least either of storage processing means 11, 17 to reduce the frame interval of images stored based on images acquired in a period going back a period A from the generation of the recording timing designation signal and a period B from after the generation of the recording timing designation signal relative to the frame interval of images stored based on images acquired in other periods other than the period A and the period B.
