<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive inspection apparatus for accurately inspecting the quality of the amount of application of a hot-melt adhesive. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hot-melt adhesive is applied to an outer flap 23 of a carton 21 by a hot-melt gun 20 to inspect the amount of application. A fluorescent substance which receives ultraviolet rays and emits light is added to the hot-melt adhesive. Ultraviolet rays are projected to the hot-melt adhesive on the outer flap 23 by an ultraviolet photo-projector 2, and a photo-receiver 3 receives visible light that the fluorescent substance in the hot-melt adhesive emitted and radiated by the ultraviolet rays. On the basis of light-reception signals output from the photo-receiver 3, a quality determination circuit 9 determines the quality of the amount of application of the hot-melt adhesive and outputs anomaly signals when the amount of application of the adhesive is insufficient.
