PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing breakage of a mold for a press is provided to manufacture a lot of press products in a short time by using a machine press as a fine blanking press. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing breakage of a mold for a press comprises an upper mold and a lower mold(140). The steel plate is provided between upper and lower mold. When the upper mold of the press ascends and descends, a damage preventive device prevents damage to upper and lower molds due to residual foreign materials by overload.
