It is described benzofurane derivative of formula (I), wherein R and R' have the meanings given in claim no. (1), its use for the preparation of 1-[4-(5-cyanoindol-3-yl)butyl]-4-(2- carbamoylbenzofuran-5-yl)piperazine and as intermediate product for the synthesis of medicaments, especially of medicaments which exhibit actions on the central nervous system .
