<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel tapered slot antenna which radiates circularly polarized waves though with a simple structure, and to provide a tapered slot array antenna apparatus using it. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the tapered slot antenna in which a first tapered slot portion formed of a conductor and a second tapered slot portion formed of a conductor are crossed, the feed point of the second tapered slot portion is disposed more on the side of the direction in which the slots of the first tapered slot portion and the second tapered slot portion are widened than the feed point of the first tapered slot portion.
