PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device capable of reducing refrigerant pressure in front and rear of attachment/detachment mechanisms at stop of a compressor. SOLUTION: The cooling device 100 includes an evaporator 26 detachably connected via the attachment/detachment mechanisms 34, 36 to a refrigerant circuit constituted of refrigerant piping 28 connected to the compressor 20. The cooling device further includes: branch piping 30 which is branched from the refrigerant piping 28 connected to the attachment/detachment mechanism 34 at the upstream side viewed from the evaporator 26 and connected to the refrigerant piping 28 connected to the attachment/detachment mechanism 36 at the downstream side viewed from the evaporator 26 and in which a refrigerant from the compressor 20 is made to flow without making the refrigerant pass through the evaporator 26 and the attachment/detachment mechanisms 34, 36; a valve 46 capable of closing a flow passage of the refrigerant piping 28 connected to the attachment/detachment mechanism 34 at the upstream side viewed from the evaporator 26; and a shut-off mechanism 50 for preventing a back flow of the refrigerant from the refrigerant piping 28 connected to the attachment/detachment mechanism 36 at the downstream side viewed from the evaporator 26 to the evaporator 26.
