<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium processing device capable of restoring a deleted file to a readable effective file after the file recorded in a write-once read-many recording medium is deleted. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A medium processing device 1 accepts the selection of the file which is to be made effective among the deleted files. The medium processing device 1 generates file management information in regard to the file which is already effective at that time and the file which is set to go effective, and records the file management information into a DVD 10.
