<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving object which is easy to handle and has low possibility of hazards. <P>SOLUTION: Body 10 of the moving object 1 has a left crawler unit 12L and a right crawler unit 12R connected by a housing 11. A camera unit 20 and a handle for transportation 30 are provided on a top surface of the body 10. The topmost position of the handle for transportation 30 is not lower than the topmost position of the camera unit 20; and when the moving body 1 topples, the handle for transportation 30 serves as a protector for the camera unit 20. The handle for transportation 30 is provided closer to the camera unit 20 than to the center of gravity CG of the body 10. The base of the handle for transportation 30 is fixed at a position where plates become doubled, by having respective outside shell plates overlap at a boundary between the housing 11 and the right and left crawlers 12L and 12R.
