PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which is compact as a whole. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display 1 includes an upper liquid crystal cell 21 comprising an upper glass substrate 23, a lower glass substrate 28, an upper transparent electrode 25, a lower transparent electrode 27 and an upper liquid crystal layer 26; a lower liquid crystal cell 31 comprising an upper glass substrate 33, a lower glass substrate 38, an upper transparent electrode 35, a lower transparent electrode 37 and a lower liquid crystal layer 36; and a connection pin 10 having a U-shaped abutting part 18 formed therein. The connection pin 10 brings the abutting part 18 into contact with the lower transparent electrode 27 and an under face of the upper glass substrate 33 coming out from the upper transparent electrode 35, clamps integrally end parts of the lower glass substrate 28 and the upper glass substrate 33 vertically by the abutting part 18, to connect the lower transparent electrode 27 electrically to the abutting part 18, and brings the abutting part 18 into contact with the upper transparent electrode 35 and a top face of the lower glass substrate 28 coming out from the lower transparent electrode 27, to connect the upper transparent electrode 35 electrically to the abutting part 18.
