A region to be air conditioned is divided into a plurality of human position discriminating regions to be detected by the human body detecting device and into a plurality of obstacle position discriminating regions to be detected by the obstacle detecting device. Whether or not a determination result of the obstacle detecting device in each obstacle position discriminating region should be updated is determined depending on a determination result of the presence or absence of a person in a human position discriminating region corresponding to each obstacle position discriminating region.
