PURPOSE: A traffic signal information processing unit for the idle stop and method is provided to offer the danger signal waiting time to be coincided with the progressive direction of the stop middle vehicles. The natural idle stop control is proceed. CONSTITUTION: A cycle counter(24) presently compartmentalizes the displaying of the traffic signal of the vehicles stopping for awaiting signal. The index grade of displaying is outputted. The danger signal atmosphere time calculation part(26) calculates the danger signal waiting time of each displaying as the basis. The present time information generating unit(30) is created the present time information including the danger signal waiting time of calculated each displaying.
