<p>The present invention relates to a molten glass stirrer having a spiral agitating blade with through openings on a blade surface, and to technique for rotating the molten glass stirrer that is soaked in molten glass. The through openings are preferably located in a radial direction with a shaft being a center, and preferably have an elongated rectangle or a boomerang shape. According to the present invention, molten glass flow is created three-dimensionally and spirally, and the molten glass flow is cut in a substantially vertical direction to the shaft, thereby homogenizing the molten glass and avoiding defects such as striae, and therefore, high quality glass products can be manufactured.</p> |
