<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take into account the degrees of reliability of sensing results when sensing obstacles by using the sensing results through an on-vehicle radar or an on-vehicle camera. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sensing device includes preliminarily a reliability table for storing the degrees of reliability of sensing results through individual on-vehicle sensors by associating them with environmental conditions when the sensing results are captured from the individual on-vehicle sensors (such as night, rain, or the like) or sensing objects that become sensing objects of the individual on-vehicle sensors (such as long distance objects, pedestrians or the like), respectively. The sensing device calculates the degrees of reliability of the sensing results by referring to the reliability table based on the environmental conditions during capture of the sensing results and the sensing objects indicated by the sensing results.
