<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile body capable of consistently running irrespective of presence/absence of any optional item. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile body is a mobile body 100 moving by inverted pendulum control, and comprises a riding seat 11 provided for allowing a rider to ride thereon, an undercarriage 12 arranged on the lower side of the riding seat 11, a right driving wheel 18 and a left driving wheel 20 rotatably mounted on the undercarriage 12, motors 34, 36 for rotating/driving the right driving wheel 18 and the left driving wheel 20, respectively, and a holder 41 provided on the side of the riding seat 11 and capable of mounting any optional article attachable/detachable to/from the mobile body 100.
