<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner capable of being easily handled for sweeping or the like, and capable of easily discharging collected dust without requiring a dustpan or the like, and without consuming a fibrous cleaning sheet or paper material while capable of cleaning corners of a room. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A dust catching brush 212 made of inclined piles is provided at a flexible base body 2, and a dust removing brush 391 made of inclined piles urged to abut on the dust catching brush 212 is provided at a casing 3 movable in the vertical direction relative to the base body 2. By moving the casing 3 in the vertical direction relative to the base body 2 after sweeping a surface to be cleaned with the dust catching brush 212 abutting on the surface to be cleaned and collecting dust in the dust catching brush 212, the dust collected by the dust catching brush 212 is stored in a dust collection chamber 221 via the dust removing brush 61, and the dust can be easily discharged to outside thereafter.
