PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a field element, capable of reducing difficulties in production. SOLUTION: In step S1, a plurality of first magnetic bodies and a plurality of second magnetic bodies are alternately arranged around a predetermined rotating shaft and fixed. In step S2, magnetic bodies higher in permeability than the first and second magnetic bodies are arranged form one side of an axial direction along the rotating shaft. In step S3, a plurality of magnetizing magnetic pole surfaces are made to oppose the first magnetic bodies respectively, and a magnetizing field exhibiting different polarities is generated from the magnetizing magnetic pole surfaces to the first magnetic bodies adjacent to the magnetic bodies in a circumferential direction centered at the rotating shaft. In step S4, the plurality of magnetizing magnetic pole surfaces are made to oppose the first magnetic bodies respectively in a state where the magnetic plate is removed, and a magnetizing field having the same polarity as that in the step S2 is generated from the magnetizing magnetic pole surface.
