PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirring apparatus capable of preventing a content from polymerizing on a top plate of a vessel, a side plate of the vessel, a stirring shaft, and the like by spraying a content of the vessel containing a polymerization inhibitor onto the top plate of the vessel, the side plate of the vessel, the stirring shaft, and the like. SOLUTION: The stirring apparatus is provided with at least one stirring vane on the outside surface of the stirring shaft which has a hollow structure from a bottom part of the stirring shaft to an upper part of the stirring shaft corresponding to a part directly beneath the top plate of the vessel, which is provided with an ascending means in a hollow part of the stirring shaft for ascending the content of the vessel to an upper part of the stirring shaft, and which is provided with at least one opening in the upper part of the stirring shaft communicating the hollow part of the stirring shaft with the outside of the stirring shaft wherein the content of the vessel is made to ascend from the bottom part to the upper part of the stirring shaft by rotating the stirring shaft with the ascending means to spray the content of the vessel from the opening to the top plate.
