PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner allowing the maintenance and inspection work inside a sound-absorbing case without being bothered by complicated arrangement of piping, etc. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 10 of the air conditioner is provided with: an exhaust fan 13; a heat exchanger 14; a compressor 16; and the like, in its inside, and the compressor 16 is covered with a sound-absorbing case 15. The sound-absorbing case 15 is composed of: a front panel 151; a left front side panel 152; a left rear side panel 153; a front top panel 154; a rear top panel 155; a back panel 156; a right rear side panel 157; and a right front side panel 158.
