PURPOSE: A method of transmitting and receiving carrier configuration information are provided to use CCI(Carrier Configuration Information) in a multi-carrier system, thereby enabling MS to effectively receive a page messaging. CONSTITUTION: The first CCI(Carrier Configuration Information) including information about multi carrier configuration is received from the first BS(S210). The second CCI including information about multi carrier configuration is received from the second BS(S220). Whether location update is performed and whether carrier is changed is determined by using the first CCI and the second CCI. If the second base station does not support the paging group identifier, the MS operates the second base station and location update.
