<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the danger of the leakage of a harmful gas from a draft chamber which is caused by air from a supplying opening of an air conditioner mounted on the ceiling of a laboratory to disturb the flow of air flowing into the draft chamber in the case of performing the work in the draft chamber mounted in the laboratory. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The air blown from the supplying opening of the air conditioner is prevented from hitting to the flow flowing into the draft chamber and from causing the turbulent air flow flowing into the draft chamber by providing a hood extending in the horizontal direction on the upper end part of the front surface of the draft chamber.
