TRANSGENIC NON-HUMAN ANIMAL AND METHOD FOR SCREENING TREATING AGENT FOR NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transgenic non-human animal usable e.g. for screening a treating agent for diseases in which synphilin-1 participates. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The transgenic non-human animal contains an introduced gene encoding synphilin-1, and the gene is expressed in a central nervous tissue to accumulate synphilin-1. The screening method for the treating agent for neurodegenerative diseases includes administration of a test compound to the animal and observation of transfer amount of the gene, kinetics of synphilin-1 and occurrence of disturbance of motility.
