A run channel, for a sliding vehicle window 23, has a plastic channel 15 with side walls engaging the window 23 and lengths of yieldable material 12 bonded to the outer surfaces of the side walls and engaging the side walls of a support channel 8. The channel 15 is formed from plastic aluminium laminate such as cellulose acetose butyrate with the aluminium completely embedded and has projections 17 meeting the panel 23. Closed cell synthetic rubber strips 12, having slight resistance, are bonded to the walls of the channel 15 and engage the side walls of the support channel 8 having inwardly bent portions 9, 11. The base of the channel 15 is convex and may be supported by a strip of closed cell synthetic rubber 22.</p> |
