The bar has a slightly bent transversal central part forming a torsion bar guided by two spaced bearings connected to a body of a motor vehicle. An axial filtering rod (41) connects each of ends of the central part to a hub support of a wheel. The rod includes fasteners e.g. ball and socket joints (40, 44), and an elastic connector for connecting the fasteners. The connector is formed of an axial rectilinear bar (46) that is inserted in a tube (42) with a gap. The rectilinear bar and the tube are connected by an elastic material (48) i.e. rubber, and have constant circular sections.
