<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone system canister vacuum cleaner which can be simplified in construction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a dust box housing part 1f formed on a front part of the cleaner body 1, an electric blower housing chamber 1d formed on a rear part of the cleaner body 1, a front wall 36 formed on the front end part of the cleaner body 1 and having a connection port 4 for connecting a suction hose, and a dust box 2 inserted into the dust box housing part 1f from above. The dust box 2 includes a dust box body 5 with a suction pipe 16 projecting from a front side surface to communicate with the connection port 4, an upper lid part 14 with an exhaust port 30 on the rear end to communicate with the electric blower housing chamber, and cylindrical filters 6, 7 positioned on the center part of the dust box body 5 to filter air in the dust box body 5 and guide the air to the upper lid part 14.
