The method involves changing rotational behavior and conveying characteristics of an electric motor driven hydraulic pump (1) according to measure of a position detection unit i.e. pump position sensor, in a pneumatic or hydraulic pressure control device by an electrical pump control, where the electrically driven pump conveys fluid. The pneumatic or hydraulic pressure control device is provided with a solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is controlled such that change of the rotational behavior and conveying characteristics is reinforced, and the pump is designed as a multi piston pump. An independent claim is also included for a device for regulating brake pressure of an electronically controlled motor vehicle.
