FIELD: power industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of vortex energy conversion of continuous medium consists in the fact that continuous medium is supplied from environment to axisymmetrical area via many paths; vortex flow is formed and its energy is converted to net work by means of vortex turbine. Flow slowdown is compensated owing to additional energy in compression zone with vortex supercharger. Axisymmetrical area has the shape of confuser the radius R of which varies depending on height Z according to equation R2Z=const. Vortex converter implementing this method includes tower with one or several confusers of the above shape, solar energy converters and vortex converter of thermomagnetic energy. Vortex converter of thermomagnetic energy is provided with magnetic system, movable power disc, channels with operating magnetic soft substance and vortex heating and cooling system. Vortex turbine and vortex supercharger have certain shape and spatial orientation of blades for conversion of vortex flow energy. ^ EFFECT: group of inventions allows increasing energy conversion efficiency.
